After creating, starring in, and writing the first season of Difficult People (which is in production for season two) — not to mention hosting a weekly podcast, “How Was Your Week,†and writing for Vulture — Julie Klausner is ready for the big screen. Deadline reports her 2010 memoir, I Don’t Care About Your Band, is currently being adapted for an eventual feature film. The book, in the classic Klausner brutal-honest spirit, chronicles her many 20-something romantic and sexual entanglements with various men. Klaunser will co-write the script, with the possibility of her starring, although it has not yet been decided. Unlike this time around, five years ago, I Don’t Care About Your Band was adapted by another writer (Leslye Headland) for a pilot starring Lizzy Caplan, which HBO sadly passed on. Good thing Julie still doesn’t care about your band.
