Seth Meyers really blew it when he failed to ask his wife to marry him in Paris (according to him; most of us weren’t there), but he was exceedingly tactful last night on Late Night when segueing from the horrific attacks in Paris to the terrible bombings in Beirut to the harrowing situation awaiting Syrian refugees. Things are so horrible all around; it’s good to keep each other in mind. Seth’s middle-school-French-teacher mom would be proud. Or, as the French say it, artichaut violette.
