Despite sounding like a front for a Bond villain’s secret plan to seize control of the world’s zinc supply, EuropaCorp is actually an action-oriented movie studio, and Amazon Prime’s newest partner. The studio, co-founded by Lucy director Luc Besson, has signed a multi-year distribution deal with the site, granting Amazon Prime the rights to stream EuropaCorp’s films during their post-theater pay-TV window. The studio has produced over 80 films and distributed 500. Their movies include the Taken and Transporter series, all of which could potentially include the name EuropaCorp as an evil syndicate. Do you think that’s intentional? Was International Murder, LLC too on the nose?
