John Oliver is taking a long holiday hiatus, but he’s popped back in with a web exclusive in which he explains the fine art of regifting. You know, the act of taking that crappy scented candle your great aunt gave you and giving it to someone else. (Maybe your other great aunt? But make sure they don’t talk to each other!) He has some excellent advice, like adding a personal yet vague note, or putting the gift in a little bag to give it that extra-festive flair. Although, at this point, we’re going to have disagree with Oliver and say that some gifts are better left unwrapped.
