When Quentin Tarantino is not wholly consumed by promoting The Hateful Eight and discussing “abuse of power,†he can be found vaguely teasing a Kill Bill threequel. In an interview this weekend with Ben Mankiewicz, for What The Flick?!, the auteur explained Beatrix has been gone because she was overdue for a break from his sadism. But she might now be ready for a comeback.
“There’s definitely a possibility — stop short of saying a probability,†he said (around the 57-minute mark), noting that Volume 3 would include a time jump. “I put the character Beatrix Kiddo through a lot, and so I wanted her to have this much time for peace.
