Soon Reese Witherspoon will star alongside Nicole Kidman in an HBO drama based on Big Little Lies, but she’s got some love for the broadcast networks, too: The Hollywood Reporter reports she’s now developing a drama for ABC. The series, called Please Don’t Go, has been ordered to script and will be written by Meaghan Oppenheimer (We Are Your Friends, Fear the Walking Dead) and follow a divorce attorney in Dallas whose life is unraveling (as is the premise of many an ABC drama). Witherspoon will executive-produce behind her production company Pacific Standard, which is currently also developing an HBO drama based on Cheryl Strayed’s Tiny Beautiful Things with Laura Dern, as well as a romantic mystery from Rob Long, also for ABC.
