Seth MacFarlane has teamed up with one of his Cleveland Show writers for a new show in the works at Fox. Deadline reports that Fox has put into development a single-cam comedy written by J. Lee called 2 Black Dudes, which will center on two St. Louis-born cousins who live in Los Angeles “and continuously bump heads on everything from religion, sex, politics, and being black in America all the way down to who’s the best ninja turtle.†MacFarlane will co-executive produce alongside Raising Hope’s Mike Mariano. As Deadline notes, Lee – a St. Louis native – has an interesting career path: at 12 he was a classical pianist who performed at Carnegie Hall, but after working as a receptionist for Family Guy after college he got his big TV break writing for The Cleveland Show in 2012.
