Chance The Rapper loves Chicago. (He didn’t love Spike Lee’s depiction of Chicago, though.) His Warmest Winter initiative, which raises money for Chicago’s homeless, hit its goal of $100,000 last night. A joint venture with the Empowerment Plan — a Detroit-based nonprofit which employs and teaches homeless women to create self-heating and waterproof winter coats, which also function as sleeping bags — the fundraiser will help pay for over 1,000 EMPWR coats. Warmest Winter will be taking donations until January 13.
