USA Today reports Marvel is prepping Poe Dameron comics, because you can never have enough new Star Wars and they know you miss that jacket. Written by Charles Soule and drawn by Phil Noto, the Resistance character’s eponymous series will drop in April and function as a pseudo-prequel to shed more light on his backstory, as well as his part in the opening of The Force Awakens. “Sometimes it can feel like the Star Wars universe is so well trodden and so many stories have already been told,†Soule, a Star Wars comics vet, told the paper. “But the way the Episode VII galaxy is set up, there are opportunities for new archetypes almost, and the [new First Order villain] we’re working with is going to feel fresh and cool.†Since this is all pre-TFA, the only foreseeable downside is there will be no Finn bromance. Silver linings?
Score.
