Transparent’s Jill Soloway has a new comedy in the works at Amazon. According to Variety, the streaming network has ordered a pilot from Soloway called I Love Dick, which is based on the 1997 novel by Chris Kraus. Described as a “highbrow comedy,†the pilot will center on “a struggling married couple, Chris and Sylvere, and their mutual obsession with an off-putting — but charismatic — professor named Dick. The story, set in a colorful academic community in Marfa, Texas, is told in Rashomon-style shifting points of view.†Soloway will direct and executive produce the pilot.
