You will continue to get Batman origin stories you either love, remember differently, or wish to remember differently, as Fox announced Wednesday that it ordered a third season of Gotham. The prequel series, which focuses on a mustacheless James Gordon’s ascent to crime-fighting prominence, will soon fulfill story lines that have promised Jada Pinkett Smith back as Fish and Paul Reubens as the Penguin’s dad. The season-three update comes amid speculation (heavy on speculation) that there also might be an Alfred Pennyworth spin-off in the works. Either way, prep yourself for still more villains, scary Sean Pertwee, and Caped Crusader–less episodes, accordingly.
