After playing at Cannes last summer, and opening across the world last year, the first-ever feature-length adaptation of The Little Prince was supposed to premiere in the U.S. tomorrow. It won’t anymore, because Paramount dropped the film last Saturday with little explanation. But if you really needed that hit of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, you’re in luck: Netflix has picked up the distribution rights to the film, which will appear on the site later this year. Fitting, because, compared to the size of your standard movie theater, the average home video or laptop screen is relatively diminutive: a little screen for a little prince.
