Netflix’s Girlboss has found its manager with two X chromosomes: Britt Robertson, the 26-year-old actress who romanced Scott Eastwood in The Longest Ride and visited Tomorrowland in Tomorrowland. Based on the book #GIRLBOSS by Nasty Gal founder Sophia Amoruso (the hashtag did not make the jump to streaming), the series will follow Sophia, “a rebellious, broke anarchist†who “realizes the value and the difficulty of being the boss of her own life†when her vintage-fashion retail business takes off. Pitch Perfect’s Kay Cannon will serve as showrunner, while Amoruso and Charlize Theron will executive-produce. If everything goes right with this series, it should be the perfect accompaniment to a hung-over Sunday on the couch.
