Everyone knows that Bryan Cranston is a talented actor known for playing interesting, complex characters, but as his appearance on last night’s Late Show proved, he can also pull off playing poorly written characters who are severely lacking in the subtlety department. Come for the impressive acting by Cranston and Colbert, stay for the fabulously theatrical names of “Too Much Exposition Theater†characters like Bertram Chevaliers, Heathcliff Sharmopolous, Higgins McTavish, and Beatrice Longfeather. Hopefully Heathcliff and Bertram’s overly explained drama is far from over.
