Katey Sagal and Jack McBrayer will join the cast of The Big Bang Theory this season as Penny’s mother and brother, respectively, the show’s producers announced at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday. This will be the second time Sagal has played Kaley Cuoco’s mother on a sitcom; the pair previously co-starred on ABC’s 8 Simple Rules from 2002 to 2005.
