Lewis Black Explains Why This Election Is Just a Social Experiment on ‘The Late Show’

Here’s a clip from Lewis Black’s appearance on last night’s Late Show, where he and Stephen Colbert talk about this year’s notably unpopular presidential candidates and Black’s theory about the truth behind this year’s election: “It’s a social experiment. We’ve done it with people that we like and it hasn’t worked out, so if we pick people that we really don’t like, maybe it’ll work that way.� He also explained why we should get rid of conventions altogether since they’re nothing more than pointless pep rallies: “You don’t yell before they play, you yell when they play. That’s what you do. Yelling for politicians? What is the matter with you?! That’s like a pep rally for a bowling team!�
