Ride, ride, ride the waves to that special director’s chair. Paul Dano will be making his directorial debut with the coming-of-age indie drama Wildlife, an adaptation of Richard Ford’s 1990 novel. Dano and his girlfriend, Zoe Kazan, wrote the script together (awwww), which tells the troubling story of a teenage boy who witnesses his parents’ marriage fall apart after his family moves to Montana (not so awwww). Neither writer is expected to act in the film, though Kazan will be executive-producing and Dano will be producing.
