Alison Brie has been cast as the lead in G.L.O.W., Netflix’s upcoming comedy series about the female wrestling league of the 1980s, executive produced by OITNB’s Jenji Kohan. Brie will play an actress whose last chance at fame comes as an opportunity to become one of the titular Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, who in real life starred in a weekly TV series that aired from 1986 to 1990. This sounds like the cheesiest thing Brie’s ever done, and that’s saying something.
