How’s your mother? Is she tired from watching Martin Scorsese’s Oscar-winning crime drama The Departed? If so, she’s in luck. THR reports Amazon is developing a TV version of the 2006 film, which itself was an adaptation of Hong Kong’s Infernal Affairs. While preserving the two-moles hook, Amazon’s series would switch the location and ethnicities of everyone involved yet again, moving the focus to Latino gangs in Chicago — none of whom will be a product of their environments, but all of whose environments will be a product of them.
