Amber Heard’s domestic-violence case against her ex-husband Johnny Depp will not go to trial. TMZ and the AP report that the estranged couple have reached a settlement resulting in Heard dropping her restraining-order petition against Depp. Their divorce is also said to be “resolved,†as per the terms of the settlement. Heard will reportedly receive $7 million, and according to a joint statement with Depp, she “will be donating financial proceeds from the divorce to a charity.â€Â The statement also says: “Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love. Neither party has made false accusations for financial gains. There was never an intent of physical or emotional harm. Amber wishes the best for Johnny in the future. There will be no further public statements about this matter.†In May, Heard filed a restraining order against Depp days after filing for divorce, citing photographic evidence of long-term physical abuse.
