Comedy Central has turned to Snapchat to find its next original series. According to Variety, the network has ordered a weekly show created, executive produced by, and starring standup and former Late Late Show writer James Davis, who hosts the Comedy Central Snapchat series Swagasaurus with James Davis. The untitled weekly show will premiere on the network in January 2016. Here’s more on the series from Variety:
Born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, Davis will explore contemporary urban topics and share his perspective on both the world he grew up in and the one he saw from his neighborhood, all with a comedic style the network billed as one that “bridges the gap between urban and mainstream comedy.â€
