Winter is coming, and while the world waits to see who conquers the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, Game of Thrones composer Ramin Djawadi, and his army of 80 orchestra members and choir singers, will descend upon 28 cities in America. The arena tour, which starts February 15, 2017, in Kansas City, Missouri, will feature the series’ greatest hits — “Light of the Seven,†“The Winds of Winter,†“Main Title,†and other classics you hum in the shower or make up words to — performed by the musicians on a 360-degree stage. “We really wanted to make it a special event,†Djawadi told Billboard. “We wanted it to be an immersive experience so that when you’re walking into the [arena], you are in Westeros.†So how does your major city’s run-of-the-mill 10,000-plus seat venue get transformed into a Medieval-esque magical fantasy world? According to Billboard, through LED telescoping, wall screens, and 3D designs. No word on whether a dragon will appear. Stops include New York, Chicago, Houston, and Los Angeles; tickets go on sale August 13 through Live Nation.
