At Amazon’s Television Critics Association press tour on Sunday, the studio finally announced the premiere dates for new and returning original series through the end of 2016, and Transparent is slated for September 23. Thankfully, Amazon released a new trailer for the third season tonight that we can watch on loop until the premiere. According to Entertainment Weekly, season three will focus on the theme of coming out of your shell, and will feature more flashbacks to Maura (Jeffrey Tambor) in 1958 to explore what it feels like to be a 12-year-old in the wrong body. In the trailer, we can see there are already a few big changes: Maura doesn’t want to be called Moppa anymore, Shelley (Judith Light) has learned how to become a brand, and Sarah got herself a whip.
