Comedy Central just put a new show into development. According to Deadline, Zack Pearlman (Mulaney, The Intern) and Julian Sergi (War Dogs) are developing a comedy for the network that they would also star in as brothers George and Calvin, “who, in rejecting their racist upbringing, flee the Midwest to South Central L.A. and attempt a new life with George’s African American girlfriend and her nerdy brother.†Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Andrew Guest will co-write the project with Pearlman and Sergi, and should it get a pilot order, Payman Benz (Key and Peele, The Last Man on Earth) is attached to direct.
