Ahead of the off-Broadway debut of his Judd Apatow-produced show Career Suicide next month, Chris Gethard appeared on last night’s Late Show to talk about the show, his Fusion series (particularly the episode when Paul Giamatti spent over two hours in a dumpster), and starring in Mike Birbiglia’s film Don’t Think Twice. Gethard also talked with Stephen Colbert about anxiety and how he used to worry that taking antidepressants would stifle his comedy ideas – a worry that turned out to be false: “That’s what I was so scared about: If I went on meds, I wouldn’t be able to go into a manic fit and rip off Dennis Quaid.â€
