Standup Iliza Shlesinger might be TV’s next talk show host. Freeform (formerly ABC Family) announced today that it’s put a new late night series in development with Shlesinger attached to host. “A late-night show has been THE goal for me and I’m ready to throw my hat into the ring,†said Shlesinger on the project. “I couldn’t be more excited to work with Freeform because they understand my voice as a comedian and are allowing me the freedom to create something special. I can’t wait to put my stamp on the late-night format.†Shlesinger also has a new standup special premiering on Netflix today and a book called Girl Logic hitting bookstores next year.
