For 742 performances, the poor players in Broadway’s Something Rotten! have strutted and fretted their hours upon the stage, but now, they will be heard no more. The Shakespeare-centric show, which opened in April 2015, has neared the winter of its discontent, and will close on January 1. It will be the longest-running show of its Broadway season, in front of An American in Paris, which closes in October. The show received ten Tony nominations and earned one win, for actor Christian Borle. If you would like anyone to supply you with knockoff Shakespeare jokes after this January, please give us a call.
