Freeform just put a new comedy into development produced by Veep star Timothy Simons. According to Deadline, the network is developing a series called Bad Dates, which will showcase “regular everyday people’s worst and most awkward dating experiences, reenacted.†The show is co-written by Derek Elliott and Jack Donaldson, who also have a CBS series in development called The Whole Nine. Bad Dates joins a growing slate of comedies in development at Freeform including Brown Girls, The Lonely Island’s Alone Together, and a late night show hosted by Iliza Shlesinger.
