In a recent Rolling Stone profile, Alex Pall, a member of the Chainsmokers, responded oh, so elegantly when asked about Lady Gaga’s “Perfect Illusion“: “It sucks.” According to EW, Drew Taggart, the other member of the DJ-duo, probably realized Pall’s immense mistake, and meekly called Lady Gaga “a great artist.” Unfortunately, the damage was already done. Lady Gaga then released her newest track, “A-YO,” on Tuesday, and proceeded to post tweets promoting the track. One tweet, however, was directed right at the Chainsmokers. “#AYO @TheChainsmokers maybe u guys’ll like this 1 better,” she wrote, along with a peace sign and trio of cigarette emoji. The lyrics match: “I can’t wait to smoke them all, whole pack like Marlboro / Blow it in your face,” she sings. They responded to Gaga, tweeting: “Haha @ladygaga RESPECT.” Next time you try to diss Lady Gaga, you better think twice, or just crawl into a cave and never come out again.
