Writer and comedian Morgan Murphy (Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, 2 Broke Girls) has a new show in the works at ABC. According to Deadline, the network has given a put pilot commitment to an untitled comedy by Murphy, which centers on two brothers “who, after their mother dies, return to their gentrified Los Angeles neighborhood and find themselves re-defining family and community with their eclectic friends and neighbors.†Murphy will co-executive produce the project alongside Ride Along’s Tim Story, who is also producing and directing Jamie Foxx’s Showtime pilot White Famous starring Jay Pharoah.
