Good luck keeping those teardrops contained to a guitar. After getting axed at ABC, Nashville is getting a second life on CMT, and whaddya know, it looks like all of that emotional turmoil also made the jump. Oh, and the show’s move isn’t the only safe landing in town, as Juliette (Hayden Panettiere), last seen possibly dying in a terrible plane crash, is back and, well, not well exactly in the first promo for season five. Juliette’s not the only one making a mockery out of her mascara in the first look, as Connie Britton, Charles Esten, Chris Carmack, Clare Bowen, Sam Palladio, and Lennon Stella are all on-site, crying and hitting stuff and being like, at least we have our music. Nashville returns to rob you of your reason on January 5.
