A Seat at the Table, Beginning Stages gives a glimpse at the early, formative days of the album’s production process, as Solange plays around with songs and ideas, some of which will make the final cut of her meditation on black American womanhood, some of which will not. Solange introduced the video on Facebook, writing: “3 years ago, I moved into a small house in the middle sugar cane field in New Iberia, La with just my engineers @mixedbyblue and @audio_nino to finish all of the lyrics as well as structure and produce the jam sessions that have now become the songs on the album.†Get a fill of Solange’s creative process above.
