Michael Giacchino thought scoring a Marvel blockbuster was so nice, he’s officially going to do it twice. The esteemed composer — just a Tony away from EGOT-ing! — has announced he’ll be scoring the upcoming film Spider-Man: Homecoming, tweeting “the rumors are true†to confirm the news. Giacchino just wrapped up composing his first Marvel outing, Doctor Strange, and recently took over the musical reins for Rogue One after reshoots forced Alexandre Desplat to back out. (It’s all good, though — Desplat is happily scoring Luc Besson’s Valerian instead.) Cross your fingers for no composer musical chairs this time around.
