When all other forms of communication fail, Rosie O’Donnell likes to resort to poetry. After writing a poem about meeting Ivanka Trump, O’Donnell has moved on to discuss the youngest member of the Trump family. O’Donnell posted her latest work after being criticized for tweeting a link to a video that asked, “Is Barron Trump Autistic?â€Â earlier this month. While she doesn’t exactly apologize to the Trump family in the poem, she does explain that her daughter, Dakota, was diagnosed with high-functioning autism in September and that she posted the “anti-bullying video†because it “spoke to the symptoms many ASD kids have.†The poem continues:
i have no ill will for his children –
or any children –
and if u knew anything about me –
u would know that
O’Donnell adds that autism may be the only subject that she and Trump agree on, before pivoting to condemn his politics in the final stanzas:
peace out
as we try to save democracy
from this madman
who thinks OUR country is his
So, O’Donnell still hates Trump, but we’re going to need to assemble an English seminar to make sense of the rest of this.
