If you missed today’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, you also missed a preview of NBC’s forthcoming Hairspray Live. The latest live musical from the Peacock — which will provide you the very rare opportunity to watch Harvey Fierstein, Andrea Martin, and Billy Eichner occupying the same corner of the TV universe for a moment — will air December 7. Herein, we get to see the show’s signature song, “You Can’t Stop the Beat,†as performed on a Hollywood lot by the core cast. It’s a taste of what we’ll get during the broadcast, including Ariana Grande as Penny, Jennifer Hudson as Motormouth Maybelle, and perfectly sunny newcomer Maddie Baillio as Tracy Turnblad.
