The holidays are all about tradition, and what more wonderful tradition could your family have than baking some cookies, stringing a few popcorn garlands, and warming your little toes by the light of Netflix’s Sense8 two-hour Christmas special, just like you did as a child? Variety reports that the Wachowski sisters’ cast of psychically linked strangers returns for the very-special extended episode on December 23. According to Netflix’s less-than-festive description of the special, “The journey continues as these eight singular hearts and minds weave in and out of each other’s lives finding deeper connections, learning darker, more desperate secrets about one another and struggling to identify with more than just oneself.†Netflix also announced that Sense8 will return for season two with ten new episodes on May 5, a perfect way to ring in another wonderful Cinco de Mayo.
