T.J. Miller’s The Gorburger Show has gone from web series to HBO pilot to, now, Comedy Central’s newest show. According to The Wrap, the network revealed at TCA today that it’s given the show an eight-episode series order. Here’s the logline:
After invading a Japanese television variety show and enslaving its staff, a big blue alien named Gorburger broadcasts from Japan and interviews guests in an attempt to understand what it means to be human.
The series will feature interviews, musical guests, games, and “other random happenings.†Miller will co-executive produce alongside co-creators Ryan McNeely and Josh Martin. Comedy Central has not yet announced a premiere date. Check out past episodes of  The Gorburger Show web series here.
