Welcome to the mysterious land of 2017, where all the TV networks sound made-up and the rules don’t matter. Amazon has picked up the second season of the arctic mystery thriller Fortitude, after the series aired its first season on the now-defunct Pivot TV in the United States. The U.K. network Sky Atlantic originally commissioned Fortitude and will continue to air it there. The show’s second season, which was in postproduction at the time of Pivot’s closure, reunites cast members Richard Dormer and Sofie Gråbøl, alongside new recruits Dennis Quaid, Ken Stott, Michelle Fairley, Parminder Nagra, and Robert Sheehan. At this rate, Fortitude’s third season will air exclusively on cab TVs and Venmo.
