Annette Bening is the latest respected actor in a long line of respected actors tapped to star in Dan Fogelman’s upcoming romance Life, Itself. Variety reports that Bening will join the likes of Oscar Isaac, Olivia Wilde, Antonio Banderas, Olivia Cooke, Laia Costa, Mandy Patinkin, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, and Alex Monner in the love story that spans multiple generations and at least two scenic locations (New York City and the Spanish countryside). Fogelman is no stranger to love and family stories: He’s the creator of This Is Us and writer of Crazy, Stupid, Love. Fogelman will direct the script that he wrote and we’re going to call it now: If beautiful love makes you cry, bring your tissues.
