Take it easy until July, okay? Fleetwood Mac and the Eagles have announced they will be headlining a new bicoastal music festival in New York City and Los Angeles this summer, dubbed Classic East and Classic West. Billboard reports that the festivals — which the organizers “are hoping to develop an annual franchise†around — will take place over a two-day period at Citi Field in New York and Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, with additional artists to be announced in the coming weeks. The festival comes on the heels of the highly successful Desert Trip (lovingly referred to as Oldchella) last fall, where the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Neil Young, former Pink Floyd front man Roger Waters, and the Who gathered for a monumental two weekends of baby-boomer nirvana. The festival will serve as the first time the Eagles will perform a live show without Glenn Frey, who died last January, while Fleetwood Mac is preparing to release a reissue of their album Tango in the Night. Simply put: This will be good.
