Marvel is trying its hand at a TV comedy. Per The Hollywood Reporter, Freeform placed a straight-to-series order for New Warriors, a live-action superhero comedy that will center on “six young people with powers living and working together.†Sure! Sounds goofy and fun, but the key hook here, as reported when the show was in development, is that Squirrel Girl (a.k.a. Doreen Green, a.k.a. an internet favorite) will be among those new warriors, presumably alongside her squirrel friends. The ten-episode series, written by Cougar Town and Scrubs’ Kevin Biegel, will debut in 2018. Now, which actress going to get to pin on those acorn earrings?
