CBS Orders ‘9JKL’ and a New Comedy Starring Bobby Moynihan

It looks like season 42 of SNL could very well be the final season for longtime cast member Bobby Moynihan, because now he’s officially headed to CBS to star in a new show. Deadline reports that the network has given series orders to two new comedies, including the Moynihan-starring show Me, Myself & I, which was ordered to pilot earlier this year. Written by Dan Kopelman, the single-cam comedy “examines one man’s life over a 50-year span. It focuses on three distinct periods in his life — as a 14-year-old in 1991, a 40-year-old in present day and a 65-year-old in 2042.†The supporting cast includes Jack Dylan Grazer, Brian Unger, Jaleel White, Kelen Coleman, Skylar Gray, Christopher Paul Richards, Mandell Maughan, Reylynn Caster, Sharon Lawrence, and John Larroquette.

In addition to Me, Myself & I, CBS also handed out a series order to 9JKL, a multi-cam comedy starring Mark Feuerstein and co-executive produced by Dana Klein that centers on “a time in Mark Feuerstein’s adult life when he lived in apartment 9K in the building he grew up in, sandwiched between his doting parents’ apartment, 9J, and his brother, sister-in-law and their baby’s apartment, 9L, and his attempts to set boundaries with his intrusive but well-meaning family.†Linda Labin, Elliott Gould, David Walton, Liza Lapita, and Matt Murray round out the cast.

Both shows join the Big Bang Theory spin-off Young Sheldon on the list of new CBS comedies in the works for the 2017-2018 season.
