Seth Meyers Takes ‘A Closer Look’ at the Republicans’ Rushed Trumpcare Bill

Here’s a clip from last night’s Late Night, where Seth Meyers takes “A Closer Look� at the AHCA bill the Republicans’ jammed through Congress yesterday, which was a lot like their first attempt at a healthcare bill with a bunch of even worse items added in (or as Meyers puts it, “they basically took an oatmeal raisin cookie and added cilantro�) and was gleefully passed by Republicans despite having no hearings, studies, CBO score, and the fact that nobody even read the bill before voting on it. “Republicans are lying through their teeth about the impacts of the bill and premiums and pre-existing conditions and hoping that no one will catch them because there’s no CBO score, and until last night there was no text,� Meyers says. “Americans are being conned, and there will be consequences for the people doing the conning.�
