It’s Always Sunny’s Charlie Day, Rob McElhenney, and Glenn Howerton are developing a new comedy series at Fox. According to Variety, the network has ordered a multi-cam pilot produced by the trio called Cool Kids, which centers on “three guy friends in a retirement community who are the top dogs until they’re blown out of the water by the newest member of the community, a female rebel who’s ready to challenge their standings.†The pilot is written by Day and Paul Fruchbom, Nick Frenkel (It’s Always Sunny, The Mick) will co-executive produce, and Kevin Abbott (Last Man Standing) will serve as showrunner if the project lands a series order.
