Seth Meyers Takes “A Closer Look� at DACA and Trump’s Hurricane Harvey Response

Here’s a clip from last night’s Late Night, where Seth Meyers takes “A Closer Look� at Trump’s response to Hurricane Harvey last week as well as this week’s announcement that he’s rescinding DACA. “To be clear, DACA recipients were brought here as children, have known no other country, pay taxes, have no criminal record, and are as American as anyone else living here,� Meyers says. “And this will shock you: With this decision today, Trump once again proved himself to be a liar after repeatedly assuring Dreamers that he could take care of them and treat them with heart.� So why, even now, does the GOP stand behind Trump? Meyers points to a statement from GOP Congressman Duncan Hunter, who said “He’s an asshole, but he’s our asshole.� “Now, I’m not a licensed proctologist,� Meyers responds, “but Congressman, there is something seriously wrong with your asshole.�
