Seth Meyers Takes “A Closer Look� at the GOP’s Latest Attempt to Repeal Obamacare

Here’s a clip from last night’s Late Night, where Seth Meyers takes “A Closer Look� at Republicans’ latest attempt to repeal Obamacare with the Graham-Cassidy bill from Senators Bill Cassidy and Lindsey Graham, which is even worse than their last one. And if that weren’t bad enough, many Republican senators can’t even answer basic questions from reporters about what exactly is in the bill, including huge cuts to Medicaid and federal funding to states. Of course, cutting wasteful federal spending is super important to the GOP unless it means cutting the thousands of dollars people like Steve Mnuchin and Tom Price spent so far just on private jets. “So these guys think millions of people should have their healthcare ripped away from them while they spend thousands on private jets and eclipse trips they don’t even care about,� Meyers says. “Republicans are racing to jam through a healthcare bill that would destroy Medicaid and strip coverage from millions of people, including those with pre-existing conditions. Could Republicans really be shameless enough to pass this monstrous bill?�
