Seth Meyers Recaps Trump’s ‘Disastrous’ Puerto Rico Trip and the Gun Control Debate

Here’s a clip from last night’s Late Night, where Seth Meyers takes “A Closer Look” at Trump’s visit to Puerto Rico earlier this week, where he told hurricane victims to “have a good time” and threw rolls of paper towels at a crowd of people in need of supplies: “They were hit with a Category 5 hurricane and you’re handing out paper towels? How absorbent do you think they are?” Meyers also recaps Trump’s response to the mass shooting in Las Vegas and how the horrific event has brought the gun control debate to the forefront again – though, for Republicans, they’re busy trying to pass a bill to loosen restrictions on gun silencers, which South Carolina Congressman Jeff Duncan said are considered “neighborly” in Europe. “Oh, suddenly Republicans care about what Europe does? Because in Europe it’s also considered neighborly to give everyone healthcare, make college free, and take naps in the middle of the day for no reason at all.”
