Amazon just released trailers for two of its pilots-turned-series. First up is The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, which received a double-season pickup back in April not long after the pilot episode debuted on the streaming network. Created by Amy Sherman-Palladino (Gilmore Girls), the series stars Rachel Brosnahan as âa 1958 New York City woman who has everything sheâs ever wantedâthe perfect husband, two kids, and an elegant Upper West Side apartment perfect for hosting Yom Kippur dinner. But her perfect life suddenly takes an unexpected turn and Midge discovers a previously unknown talent for standup comedy.â The series debuts on Amazon Wednesday, November 29th.
Next up is a sneak peek of action-comedy series Jean-Claude Van Johnson, which was ordered to series last year. Jean-Claude Van Damme stars in the series as âthe most dangerous undercover private contractor in the world.â Peter Atencio directed the pilot and is also an executive producer on the show, which is created by Dave Callaham (The Expendables, Mortal Kombat). Amazon has not yet revealed a premiere date for the show, but you can check out the teaser trailer below:
