Meyers also recaps what Jeff Sessions said yesterday regarding using the Justice Department to retaliate against Trump’s political opponents like Hillary Clinton as well as Trump’s extremely friendly meeting with Rodrigo Duterte. “So the president is pushing the Justice Department to investigate his political rivals while he cozies up to murderous strongmen,� Meyers says. “Somebody should explain to Trump that his behavior is fundamentally antithetical to democracy and the rule of law.�
