ABC has pulled the plug on its freshman comedy The Mayor. According to Deadline, the network has canceled the Daveed Diggs-produced series, which was ordered to series back in May and debuted in October. 9 of the show’s 13 episodes have aired so far, and for now The Mayor’s return time slot will instead be replaced with Modern Family repeats. According to THR’s report about the cancellation, the show will be shopped around by producers, although it’s unclear how likely it is that The Mayor will find a new home.
